Terms of Use
Last updated 15 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Modalis Platform and its services DailyMed Explorer, Label Monitor and Formulation Explorer (together the "Service"), provided by Modalis Ltd ("Modalis", "we"). By using the Service you accept them, for yourself and for the organisation you use it for. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service lets authorised users explore and export information from drug labels published on DailyMed (DailyMed Explorer), and follow FDA approvals and label changes from Drugs@FDA, with reports, watchlists and alerts (Label Monitor), organised and enriched by Modalis. Access is by invitation only, to the services your account includes.
2. Your account
Your account is personal. Do not share it, keep your password confidential, and tell us at info@modalis.ai if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Permitted use
You may use the Service, and the data you export with its features, for the internal research and business purposes of you and your organisation.
4. Prohibited use
Any attempt to access or extract data other than through the features of the Service, used as intended, is prohibited. This includes scraping, crawling or other automated access, bulk downloading, circumventing export limits or access controls, and reverse engineering. You must also not share access with others, resell or republish the Service or its data, use it to build a competing product, disrupt its operation, or use it unlawfully.
5. Data and no professional advice
The underlying labels come from DailyMed (U.S. National Library of Medicine), and substance, approval and label data from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (including through openFDA); neither endorses the Service. Approval data may reach the Service days after FDA publishes it. The information may be incomplete or contain errors, and the official label always prevails. The Service is for information and research only and is not medical, regulatory or other professional advice.
6. Ownership
Modalis owns the Service, including its software, design and the way the data is compiled and enriched. Source data remains subject to the terms of its publishers.
7. Liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, Modalis is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under EU or Croatian law, including for intent and gross negligence.
8. Suspension
We may suspend or end your access at any time, in particular if you breach these Terms.
9. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.
10. Law, changes and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, and the competent court at the registered seat of Modalis Ltd decides disputes, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection. We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. Questions: info@modalis.ai.
